Seniors
Silver Arts –Art Engagement with Seniors
Studies have shown that interacting with art has been found to improve mental health in seniors. Hence, we hope to engage seniors with different art forms, letting them immerse themselves in the therapeutic yet creative process of art-making.
Partners may consider the following engagement options:
- Engage a vendor to run an art session with the seniors
- Plan and facilitate an art session (with skills-based volunteers present to guide and assist seniors)
- Bring seniors to attend a musical
- Bring seniors to explore art exhibitions
Suitable Engagement Periods
Dates: Monday through Friday (except Wednesdays).
Timings: 9am to 11.30am
Number of beneficiaries impacted
30-50 seniors per centre (subject to changes).
Budget Estimate
Cost of project depends largely on the art medium chosen for the engagement. Cost should cover all materials required.
