C.A.R.E.tapult Learning Support Programme

C.A.R.E.tapult is a free learning support programme to engage children through play and exploration of educational games, academic coaching, and skills impartation. The curriculum consists of:

Math/English Learning Support Programme

 

Your role: 

Befriend our children, coach and support children in their assigned work for English and/or Mathematics, as well as conduct educational activities / games during “exploratory play time” after children complete their assigned work.

 

Commitment:

  • 10 weeks / 3 months
  • Frequency: Weekly
  • Math: Wednesdays, 4-6pm
  • English: Fridays, 4-6pm
  • Reporting time for each session:  Latest by 3.45pm.
    Staff may request for volunteers to report at 3.15pm for volunteers’ briefing prior coaching sessions.

kidsREAD Reading Programme

 

kidsREAD is a nationwide reading programme by National Library Board (NLB) to promote the love of reading among young Singaporeans aged 4 to 8 years old

 

Your role: Conduct mass and buddy reading with our children and facilitate kidsRead reading activities with them.

 

Commitment:

  • 10 weeks / 3 months
  • Frequency: Weekly
    • Fridays, 4pm – 6pm

 

*Volunteers will need to:

  • undergo kidsREAD training session with NLB before they are able to conduct the mass reading with the children. Dates for training will be shared by CCSS Staff when NLB releases the availability.
  • Report Latest at 345pm. Staff may request for volunteers to report at 3.15pm for volunteers’ briefing prior academic coaching / reading sessions
