One People, One Heart, One Climb for Change

Kampung Step Up 2022 (KSU) is a virtual vertical climb organised to fundraise and support vulnerable individuals and families. This is done by equipping and empowering them with appropriate guidance and resources to overcome their limitations and achieve their utmost potential amidst COVID-19.

It is an open invitation to anyone who is keen to support the community by participating in the virtual vertical climb conducted remotely for the safety of all. Through KSU, we aim to raise a total of S$150,000 for the programmes and services that support more than 1,000 vulnerable children, youths-at-risk, ex-offenders, and the seniors.

A united front is the strongest front. Let’s actively step out and step up into the next normal with great solidarity to support the vulnerable in our midst.

Together, we are stronger.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

General

What is Kampung Step Up 2022 (KSU)?

KSU is a casually paced virtual vertical climb event, where the Kampung (participants) gather virtually on Zoom for an opening ceremony before they start climbing 22 storeys at their chosen venue to fundraise for CCSS.

Why 22 storeys?

The year 2022 is significant. To some extent, all of us “battled” the COVID-19 pandemic for over 2 years. Default work from home has been our culture for over 2 years.
It is the dawn of the next normal where we live and cope with COVID-19. Our vision of living with COVID-19 in 2022 is one that we will bounce back better and rise up stronger together as one people to continue supporting the most vulnerable in our midst. Therefore, 22 is a significant number, we hope to encourage all of us to Step Out & Step Up to continue equipping lives across all generations.

Where can I climb?

Participants may climb at the following venues, whichever is convenient: staircases at HDB blocks, condos, offices or high-rise buildings with 22 storeys.

Why should I register and fundraise?

KSU is organised to fundraise and support vulnerable individuals and families. This is done by equipping and empowering them with appropriate guidance and resources to overcome their limitations and achieve their utmost potential amidst COVID-19.

We aim to bring people together for one united purpose to raise awareness and funds for the continuing needs of the vulnerable community under CCSS’s care. Your support in joining us will help to collectively meet the fundraising goal of $150,000.
